Raimund Miller is a highly experienced structural engineer with a career spanning over four decades. In 1993, he co-founded ARQ (Pty) Ltd. In 2021, 28 years after the company's establishment, he broke away to become an independent expert structural engineering consultant, forming RGM Expert Structures.

About Raimund Miller
At ARQ, Raimund was the director of the Structures Department and instrumental in designing a wide array of projects, including foundational and earth retaining structures, multi-storey buildings, bridges, and large industrial steel structures. His work is particularly focused on bridge design and rehabilitation, reflecting his deep expertise and interest in this area. Raimund is also dedicated to integrating computer technology into engineering processes, using CAD and spreadsheets to streamline design and drawing functions, thereby enhancing the quality and efficiency of his projects.

Nels river bridge
ARQ was appointed by SANRAL to carry out the design and site monitoring of the emergency repairs and widening of the Nels River Bridge near Nelspruit.
Coega River Bridge
ARQ worked on the upgrading of the N2 near Port Elizabeth including the Coega River bridge. The project started with the Bridge Concept Design and went through a competitive tendering process.
Rigel Avenue Bridge
A 53m long, two span bridge over the N1 freeway. The original bridge deck was 17.4m wide and the widened deck is 27m wide. 3m wide triangular shaped flares were also added at each of the four corners to facilitate the new single point interchange.
